Installation (various methods, choose one)

Copy the file ‘PhoneBAK-FULL.jad’ and ‘PhoneBAK-FULL.jar' to the memory stick via card reader and insert it back into your phone. It is important to copy the files via the card reader to the memory card and not via Bluetooth.

Click onto the file ‘PhoneBAK-FULL.JAD’ to install the program. Do not click the wrong file.

- Install the program in 'Applications'.
- Once installed, activate the program by clicking ‘PhoneBAK SE’.
- Scroll down and select 'Settings' to setup.


Registration

Go to http://www.bak2u.com/activate.php to register the software.

Important! Under ‘Operating System’ select ‘Symbian 9’

The IMEI number can be displayed on most phones by dialing the code *#06#
The unlock key can be re-used when the phone firmware is upgraded or when the software is reinstalled into the same phone.


Settings

- Enter the default Password* '1234'.  (It will display 'Protected by BAK2u')

Send 1: 91234567 (local number)
Send 2: 6591234567 (overseas or local number with country code. Do not include ‘+’ as it is auto embedded)


Data Eraser

An 'eraser' feature, where it will delete all removable files, photos, videos, folders from the internal and phone memory storage card.

Always remember to save all settings before exit.
To save, select 'More / Save'.
To exit, select 'More / Exit'.


Permissions

On your phone, go to 'Applications' (Via File Manager) and activate the program in 'PhoneBAK SE / PhoneBAK’.
The program will ask you for permission to start automatically . Click 'Yes'.

Enter ANY WRONG PASSWORD (Example: 4321) and click ‘Ok’.

It will display 'Allow application to start automatically’ & ‘Allow application to receive
messages?' Click 'Yes' for all.

Wait for 10 seconds as the program self-configure itself.

After that it will bring you back to the main 'Applications' page.

On actual use, a password dialogue will pop up after 60 seconds requesting the correct password to be entered, otherwise SMS alerts will be sent out. After entering the password, wait for another 20 seconds for it to process.

Click 'More' to give Permissions:

Messaging (To allow SMS text alerts to be sent out)

Select ‘Permissions'.
Select 'Messaging'.
Select ‘Never ask’ and press ‘OK’.

Autostart (To allow PhoneBAK SE to start when phones is powered up)

Select 'Autostart' or ‘Automatic start’.
Select ‘Never ask’ and press OK. (if you do not see this option, you may have improperly installed the program)

File Read (To allow PhoneBAK SE to auto run on the background)

Select 'File Read' or ‘Read user data’.
Select ‘Never ask’ and press OK.
Select 'File Write’ or ‘Write user data’.
Select ‘Never ask’ and press OK.

Restart the phone.


Registration

Go to http://www.bak2u.com/activate.php to register the software.

Important! Under ‘Operating System’ select ‘Sony Ericsson’

Enter your IMEI without any ‘-’ (dashes)
For example, enter 1234567891011 and NOT 123-456-789-101-1

Enter the ‘Unlock Key into the anti-theft software PhoneBAK SE in your phone (Application / PhoneBAK SE / Settings).
Press ‘More / Register’ and enter the Unlock Key. Save and Exit.

The unlock key can be re-used when the phone firmware is upgraded or when the software is reinstalled into the same phone.
